  • Establishment of a Water testing laboratory in 2008 with all the necessary equipments in the Department of Botany, Faculty of Science, Eastern University, Sri Lanka with the financial assistance of World Vision (INGO), Sri Lanka.
  • Contributed for the Social Harmony project of the IRQUE project (IBG) in designing the proposal and implementing the programme as the person-in-Charge for the Non-Violent Communication programme.

  • Participated in the 1st, 2nd and 4th Asian Conference in Plant Pathology and also presented research papers in China (2002), Singapore (2005) and Darwin, Australia (2011) respectively
  • Obtained merit pass in three months training in “Lab Management and Food Analysis” of Sri Shivaji University, Maharashtra, India from 1st of August to 30th of October, 2004, funded by the Asian Development Bank
  • Participated in ten days International Intensive Training in “Non Violent Communication” held in Bangalore, India in 1st to 12th, Dec. 2004, under the IRQUE (Improving the Relevance and Quality of University Education) project.
